2010 U.S. Figure Skating Championships to be held in Spokane (5/10/08)

It was announced that the 2010 U.S. Figure Skating Championships will be held in Spokane, Washington. This will be the final event before nominations for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Tickets will go on sale May 31st at 10:00 AM.

U.S. Gets a Medal at World's (03/23/08)

The U.S. finished strong with Johhny Weir in the Men's event at the World Championships. Weir placed 3rd behind Jeffrey Buttle of Canada and Brian Joubert of France.

Kimberly Meissner finished a weak 7th in the Ladies event which was won by Mao Asada of japan.

Worlds Off To a Rough Start For Belbin and Agusto (18/03/08)

Belbin and Agusto landed in 5th place in the Ice Dance event after Belbin fell during the Argentine Tango in the compulsory dance portion of the competition. This practically destroys their chances for a Gold medal this year. In the pairs John Baldwin and Rena Inoue are in 10th after the short program. Evan Lysacek had to withdraw from the Men's competition due to an injury in a fall during practice.

Rachael Flatt wins World Junior Championships (03/04/08)

Rachael Flatt won the Ladies title at the World Junior Championships in Bulgaria this past weekend. This was her 2nd appearance at the World Junior Championships. Caroline Zhang finished 2nd and Mirai Nagasu finished 3rd, sweeping the medals for the U.S.A.

Meissner Switches Coaches (02/09/08)

After her disheatrening performance at the 2008 U.S. National Championships, Kimmie Meissner has made a coaching change. She switched from long time coach Pam Gregory to Richard Callaghan. She will be representing the US at the World Figure Skating Championships in March.

Dorothy Hamill diagnosed with Breast Cancer. (01/13/08)

Skating star Dorothy Hamill announced on Jan. 4th that she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is being treated at prestigious Johns Hopkins Hospital. She will miss part of her current tour "Broadway on Ice". She will be in our prayers.
